HYPNOS
A COLLABORATIVE SOLO PERFORMANCE BY
Sakari Männistö
Step into the mesmerising world of Hypnos, a collaborative solo juggling performance by Sakari Männistö.
Sakari is one of the leading jugglers of his generation, internationally renowned for his creative exploration in juggling techniques and his avant-garde approach to creating performances. Hypnos is a semi-autobiographical journey that explores the juggling Sakari has created in the intervening years. Over one maximalist hour Hypnos challenges presupposed perceptions of a juggling performance; exploring the liminal space between control and chaos.
As with all of Sakari’s work, the input of other artists is integral to the process. Hypnos reunites him with previous collaborators Eero Auvinen (light), Alice Williamson and Aku Meriläinen (visuals) and introduces a new artist into the collective: Anna Clock (sound).
