HYPNOS

A COLLABORATIVE SOLO PERFORMANCE BY

Sakari Männistö

Hypnos is an autobiographical work, tracing Sakari Männistö’s life through the lens of juggling. Yet, beneath its personal story lies something universal—however different our lives may be, they follow familiar patterns of movement, balance, and inevitable change.

Objects rise and fall, guided yet unpredictable, much like the rhythms that shape us all. Though a solo, Hypnos is a collaboration, with music, video, light, and costume contributing to an intimate portrait that speaks beyond the individual.

Who is truly in control—the juggler or the patterns they create? And what remains when the movement ceases?
